The congregation is governed by an elected board called the Session.  Members of the congregation are elected, ordained, and installed to the office of Ruling Elder and serve three-year terms.  The Pastor is the Moderator of the Session.  The Session meets monthly for routine business, and more often if a special issue needs action.

Other members of the congregation are elected, ordained, and installed as Deacons.  The Board of Deacons undertakes the main benevolent activities of the congregation.  The Deacons also serve three-year terms.  No person may serve more than two consecutive terms as a Deacon or Elder, but may be reelected after a one-year gap.
